“5 years in and without a doubt the most tragic aspect of this war is the devastating psychological impact it has had on those involved on the ground level. Troops (and their families) along with Iraqi civilians have been exposed to a horrific cycle of violence and terror. The impact of this has been profound and it will have a long lasting impact on the health and well being of those most deeply effected.
It is truly sad that the world has become numb to this reality. Whether or not the war is going to stem future violent conflict in the world, the future care of this traumatized population should be at the forefront of our public dialogue. I applaud Take Pride for it’s efforts to raise awareness of this very real and impending crisis.”
