Another betz chiming in…..one thing that concerns me about our country is the number of young people I see, many just graduating from high school, with absolutely no direction. Some service to their country would do them a world of good, not to mention the good it would provide to the country. I am not saying they all have to serve in the military. That is good for some, but others could do community projects, that just might give some direction to their lives. Thankfully, there continues to be young men and women who want to serve, and see it as a true privilege, but I fear far too many take for granted their lives in the U.S., and they ought to be given the opportunity to serve.
